This is THEEE best place for vintage toys. The owner is knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The more you look around the more you'll see, so make sure to visit each case more than once. Buy local from a dedicated collector.

Im European and have been to many vintage toy shops worldwide, and have to say I was impressed with the variation of items in this shop. Just a wonderful selection. The owner himself is obviously a collector with great knowledge and passion about the things he sells. While making my purchases he extended his knowledge to me particularly about American items I know less about. Theres rare items here and cheaper itemsreally something for every budget. Highly recommend giving it a go, cant imagine a collector going in there and not coming out with something. Having sold myself in the past, and bought and sold off of many people I know it can be tough going sometimes when money is involvedbut in this case its refreshing to see someone who still has so much love and passion for what he does. Ill include pics of some of my purchases so readers can see the kind of things up for grabs.

I was visiting some friends in Portland with my wife. I told my friends the one thing I wanted to do was hit up a vintage toy shop. They found Dr. Tongue's and took me there on our last day in town. It's such a great little shop! Some cool vintage stuff that predates me, but also some of the stuff I wanted! I ended up grabbing a Rattrap Beast Wars Transformer figure, unboxed with card. I've been trying to find one and it's in great condition at a reasonable price! I wish I had the budget to grab the 5-6 other Beast Wars figures I wanted! Also some great original X-Men and Batman figures along with other stuff. It was a cool store, not too big, lots to see, lots I wanted, and the owner was very nice and helpful. I definitely want to come back and hunt some more!
