Huge fan of the space and concept. I do love posting up at the bar for a couple of hours to get some work done.

The food here is ok and the atmosphere is cozy. Unfortunately the service is terrible. We have been here s few times and the first time is was very pleasant, quiet cozy great food. Then the last two times the service was appalling. The owner had taken up a huge table with what appeared to be friends and family and spoke very loudly of how great trump and missgengered us several times, and from the owners table there was a drunken elderly person that would not give my husband and I space. We did not return for about 6 months. Then on our first return trip back , my husband was misgenderd by an employee.

I'm continuously misgendered in this space that claims to be welcoming. The person didn't apologize and ignored the correction. They could definitely utilize neutral pronouns at the very least. It used to be more comfortable but most of their armchairs have been replaced. Overpriced food and not very tasty. Super salty and soupy gumbo. The kitchen is dirty too. The idea of the place is a good one but executed really poorly. Coffee was full of grounds and lukewarm. For a place that has a trans employee in the kitchen I sincerely hope you treat them better than your trans customers.

The drinks and atmosphere was great. The poutine was just okay compared to the real deal in Canada. The charcuterie plate we got had a lot of meat and cheese but the bread left something to be desired. The plate could have benefited from some fruit as well. Otherwise great time overall.
