I took my first class at Elemental and cant wait to return. The environment is so welcoming and friendly, and I got such good instruction. I felt nervous at first, but my instructor put me at ease from the start. What a special community.

In my opinion, this studio is a hidden gem. The lack of reviews is not surprising. But the staff, education, and community that Elemental has cultivated and provides to students is phenomenal, and deserves more recognition. The cost of class is comparable to others here in PDX, and well worth it. You get access to the studio essentially as much as you want during your 8 weeks, and for an additional 4 weeks after the end of your course to finish work. They offer an array of beautiful glazes and clay bodys to choose from as well. Ceramics as a practice, in general, is beautiful and life altering. Its especially true when its taught by and with caring and knowledgeable individuals such as those here. Im beyond grateful for the time Ive had with Lindsey in Developing Your Passions, and the wonderful friends Ive made along the way. My craft, heart, and mind are better for it.

I signed up for this class and was hoping for it to help with healing and my brain injury. Then I became more sick and missed a couple classes. Then I was hit by a car as a pedestrian. So I asked for a partial refund. These classes are $550. I went to one before my health worsened and I was physically injured to the point of being unable to attend. Instead of allowing me a partial refund due to something that happened to me out of my control, the owner tried to guilt me for their inability to profit from me and I should care about them keeping the doors opened? This after telling me how they have a waitlist and are fully booked. So which is it? You're too broke to be a decent human and give me a partial refund? Or you're too greedy? The lack of empathy has filled me with so much anger. I think they are unaware of the consumer protection laws for situations just like this. I have contacted the state of Oregon and filed a formal complaint about this business. I have been a business owner for 15 years, I've always had a no refund policy. EXCEPT due to illness or injury because I'm not a monster. I paid for something I'm Unable to receive. I have zero interest in coming back to a class with a business owner who preaches wellness, unless your wellness impacts their profits. The "studio" is in an unfinished, unventilated basement. I highly doubt they're hurting for money. Clearly none of that money goes back into the studio. Go somewhere else, this business is gross and fake.
