We enjoyed living here. When we moved in the management and maintenance wasnt that great but once Shawnda started with management there was a HUGE turnaround. She was always reliable and communicated well whenever we needed all the time up until we moved. She was by far the best property manager weve had anywhere weve live prior. There were quite a few things that were not going great with the location and even in the building but she has worked hard to turn things around and create a safe and great environment for us and the tenants here. Well definitely miss her! Location is near everything and amenities were good. Reading some of the reviews and we honestly cant agree with the negative ones as our experience was by far different thanks to shawnda with management and the maintenance team. If you want a staff thats reliable, communicates well and makes their tenants top priority. Due to unforeseen circumstances we needed to move otherwise we would have stayed living here. If you want reliability of your management time, a great location and great amenities I would highly recommend renting at Couch9!

PLEASE DO NOT RENT HERE! Take your money up the street or anywhere else and rent in a safer and more reliable complex. Management changes by the hour (literally no one stays). Maintenance requests take forever, front doors are always broken and the building gets broken into on the regular, 9th Ave is literally murder street. Multiple shootings right outside almost every other week. Amenities are trash. The gym is a literal closet. Mail room is constantly broken into. Homeless people have been found in the lobby on many occasions and have even fought tenants. Your blinds and washing machine are guaranteed to break. They do NOT value their tenants. Zero security and concern for the safety of their tenants. Someone is moving out every week. Garage has been broken into multiple times I mean the list goes on. Stay clear if you want to feel protected and valued as a tenant. Management stays onsite and does absolutely NOTHING!

I love this building! I just had a tour here and the management was on another level. They gave me all the information I needed about this building and any other building I'm applying for. I appreciate the heads up and looking out for my best interest. Definitely, look at this building! They're on their own level.

My husband and I are so happy to have moved into Couch9! We moved in last Thursday and we honestly couldnt be happier! The staff are kind and warm with every welcome! I am a nosy person and ask a lot of questions and they were so happy to answer each and every one. Our unit? Perfect!! I have never seen such a clean and ready move in! It looks like we walked into a newly built unit! The windows are so big and catch all the light all day! As for the neighborhood? Every person we met was warm and welcoming. We have met 2 floor neighbors now and they were so kind! Folks on the street have been so supportive and happy to help! We love it here already and cant wait to stay for many years to come!

Ive lived here since September 2022 and have almost nothing negative to say. Location is great, building is always clean, maintenance requests are almost always handled within 24 hours and the staff is next level helpful when it comes to going above and beyond to help residents with any needs. Management has changed a few times but has always been good people. You do get some shady characters around here sometimes but thats just what it is when you live in the Pearl/Portland area in general. Staff earns their 5 stars all day.
