Amazing location right on the corner of 23rd! Been here 12 months and everything has been great. Madeline and Jessica are lovely and always willing to help with question/issues. Great value for the price - 10/10 recommend.

Really liked the maintenance guy, when we had problems they quickly fixed it. But weve had some problems with Avenue 5 incorrectly charging us for parking. Weve had bikes stollen from the bike lock up. Although the rent is very reasonable, theres a lot of weird charges for electric and trash. When we already pay PGE directly and the trash room is overflowing. The residents dont tend to be friendly. And we were told the wrong address when we moved in which caused a lot of errors with the postal service and missed packages.

I lived at the Savier Street Flats for 2 years. In that time, my indoor storage unit (located in the Savier Street Flats building) was broken into 3 times and my apartment was constantly flooded with smoke smells from other apartments (with the front office refusing to do anything about it). Two weeks after I moved out, they sent me a bill for $350+ in "cleaning fees" and refused to answer my calls and emails about it. I cleaned the apartment thoroughly before moving out and was told I was paid in full when I turned in my keys. Their billing department said that they do this often because they can get away with it and that if I don't pay it, it will go to collections and hurt my credit. Word to the wise: Avoid this place at all costs. There are much better apartments all around it to choose from.

Resident from Feb 2022 until March 2024 The apartments themselves are fine and prices are normal for this area, although rents were raised by a full 7% for 2024. The staff organizes probably two community events per month, often with free food or drinks. The location is the biggest draw with easy access to everything on 23rd, 21st, and the streetcar line nearby. However, as other reviews have mentioned, there are significant security concerns going unaddressed. Car break-ins are frequent and packages are stolen from the delivery room when the locker system fills up. My partner and I had two car break-ins and also both our bikes stolen from the controlled access room in the garage. These issues have increased in frequency for residents from 2023-2024 but there are no email notices sent out when they occur or efforts to provide onsite security. If you're planning to keep a car or bike in the garage then I'd strongly recommend choosing a different apartment building with some type of security. If you won't be using the garage at all then Savier Street Flats could still be a good option.

I hate to leave negative reviews, but we had a bad experience here. We initially picked it because the price seemed reasonable, but they added on almost $200 a month in hidden fees as well as charging us another $200 for a singular spot in a parking garage where cars were broken into constantly. They tried charging us a $290 cleaning fee when we moved out despite hours of cleaning the entire place, as well as over $140 for a parking spot we gave up months before we moved out. When brought up with the property manager we were told theres nothing they can once weve been billed, you have to go to Avenue 5 .. theres just a lot of shadiness and the B building is a little cheaper but so inconvenient to access the garage that we have to pay the same 200 dollar price for as the A building, which is also significantly nicer.
