Cadence Apartments

Great experience so far. Office team is great, responsive, and work with you if you have any issues. The maintenance team is friendly and always greet you out while out and about in the building. Location is awesome, great to be able to walk anywhere and enjoy the nightlife Portland has to offer.

Honestly pretty great apartments,the ceilings are tall which I loved, I lived there for about a year and my only gripe was the price of the studio was a little expensive for its size and everything and the parking price was a bit hefty but otherwise a nice safe building :)

We lived here for 2 1/2 years. It was a nice place to live, amenities were good, quiet, maintenance staff was quick to respond, and front desk staff was helpful. Street parking is convenient, but neighborhood isnt the safest. The only other downside, is the price. We had a reasonable rate for the first two years, but on our most recent renewal saw another significant increase. I was very upset to see that our unit was listed after we moved out for almost $250 less than what we had been paying. It seems ConAm management doesnt care about the loyalty of their tenants, just how they can make a dime. I dont see how anyone could afford to live here long term with how high they increase your rent at renewal.

The apartments are nice, but small and overpriced; I paid less for an apartment with 50% more space in Washington DC and less for an apartment with 25% more space in Los Angeles. The amenities are good but not well kept or maintained. The office staff does not communicate when there are issues within the building (e.g. - elevator is not working, when something will be cleaned, if trash pick up will be late or is canceled, etc.) and they seem bothered when you ask. The gate to the garage doesnt function properly and breaks down regularly so only half of it works. Neighbors are quiet and respectful. Rooftop deck would be nicer if it was cleaned. Doesnt seem like any money made from rent is put back into the building (Update: they seem to have started a few projects so maybe thats changing?). Maintenance staff is kind, respectful, and timely. Great location if you need to get around Portland metro area. Trash valet is good and bad; nice that I just set things outside of my door but the halls are regularly filled with trash and other obstacles that also leave a smell.
