    They are in the middle of a remodel, but that didn't seem to affect anything negatively. The construction crews were actually friendlier than the front desk staff. The housekeeping guy with the tattoos was great.

    Made reservations for 1 night stay in 2022. My vehicle broke down driving through the pass east of Pendleton in the middle of the night. Road side arrived and got me back on the road by 5am and I was to the Hampton Inn (where I had paid for a full nights stay with 11a check-out) around 6am and they would not let me have my room that I paid for. I was hoping, since I hadn't slept all that night, I could take a nap (in the room I PAID for) before driving the rest of the way to northern WA. I was denied that ability because I didn't check in by 12am. Well, there was no sympathy from management. They did not care that I broke down, couldn't check in because my vehicle wasn't running, nor did they care that I had paid in full for a room that had a check out at 11am, and it was still only 6am. The front desk employee (who was great) called the owner and the owner of the hotel, refused to speak with me, yelled at her employee, told the employee to tell me to get out of her hotel (I heard her say that to her employee on the phone). I was in shock. I had to sleep in the parking lot in my vehicle instead of in the room that I PAID FOR. Also, as you'd expect with this type of management, no refund. Worse customer service experience of my entire life at any establishment. Will never return there. Advise you to do the same. Unless someone tells us that this lady has been fired and new management is in place, please do not support her. Its 2 years later and I am still writing this review and thinking about it ha. I even tried calling the hotel to let them know about my situation during the night, but of course I had no service in the mountain pass. Avoid at all costs. *To the reply I got from Hilton* You have recent reviews from other guests complaining of the general manager "arguing and hanging up on customers" so I am sorry, but your current staff is the same as it was 2 years ago, you have made no changes, and it certainly is reflective of your current staff. Well, I should isolate the general manager. The front office staff that was helping me that day was fantastic, and told me many times the GM is terrible and they get complaints about her/them all the time from guests. My review stands. Do not support this location. If this is how management at this location treats its paying customers, I can only imagine how the employees there are treated...

    Hampton inn is usually pretty good but I have complaints about this one in Pendleton: a wet washcloth was left behind in the bathroom; the shower doors were cloudy with soap scum; my pillow definitely smelled like someone else, so hadn't been washed. Also, they were out of milk and orange juice at breakfast. Management gotta step it up here!

    The room was under construction and stunk. Window was broken frame and front desk no help at all. Very unfriendly. Then no hot water and was never offered a different room or compensation. Will never stay in this hampton again. Stayed there often.
