South Beach Surf Shop

Simply the ONLY surf shop in Newport. Russ is not only a veteran surfer with decades of experience under his belt, he offers the approach of a coach rather than an instructor. I have taken surf lessons in the past, but having someone break down everything I was doing right and wrong, step by step, finally made it start clicking. He took the time to teach me invaluable skills when it comes to reading the water, the winds, and more. I highly recommend!

Super cool shop. The owner makes cool surf artwork the bords are amazing with all sizes to fit everybody super cool sweaters.

I knew I was in the right surf shop when I heard the music Russell was jamming on. He had a great selection of boards and wetsuits, hooked me up with what I needed, gave me some great advice, and I was surfing within a matter of minutes. Just passing through from out of town and wanted to get a quick little session in and he helped me do exactly that. Thanks Russell!
