image We used an Embarcadero one bedroom unit as our 'guest house' while we were in our timeshare at the same facility.
They had the unit cleaned and ready for each new guest that visited us over the two weeks.
Everyone from booking to the front desk to housekeeping were polite, courteous, professional and prompt.
Food & drinks: Nye Beach Cafe has the best breakfast in town. They know GF (Gluten Free) and can do it well. Our non GF friends raved about their homemade breads and biscuits.
The Taphouse, in Newport, also knows GF and has a dedicated GF fryer for many menu options. Huge (over 130) beer and wine selections and a full bar.
South Beach Fish Market has beautiful, fresh and delicious seafood at very competitive pricing. A simple but tasty restaurant too!
Tidal Raves, in Depot Bay, has the absolute best dining view and delicious food as well.

image Loved it. A getaway with my family. It was a blast. Waking up with a cup of coffee. Watching the sunrise is so beautiful. The room was great walkable to the pool and to the walkable dock to go glcrabning or fishing. A great place for a family vacation.
Rooms: Awesome room, great views.
Nearby activities: Fishing, crabbing, walk to the bay front. Lots of little bay stores to shop. And restaurants.
Walkability: Yes

image The Embarcadero has been a go-to destination for our family for many years - as our family has grown, and our needs have changed in terms of space and activities, we have found that the Embarcadero has grown with us in its wide array of differing accommodations to suit all. You can't beat the location, and the view is incredible - whatever the weather! The staff are always helpful and welcoming. It is easy walking distance to town where you'll find great restaurants, shops, and other entertainments - and, if you are there at the right time, some very noisy and entertaining sealions!

image The best hotel we have ever been to in Newport! Checking in was extremely easy and quick with the staff being helpful and friendly! Only took just a couple minutes to get checked in. We were in the C building right next to all the amenities this hotel has to offer. Pool, hot tubs, crabbing dock, crab cooking area and a BBQ area! Our room was right on the bay with views of the boats, a wonderful view and truly gorgeous at night when they have lights on them. Room had 1 bedroom with a king size bed and a pull out bed in the living room and private balcony to sit and enjoy the sight and sounds of the sea lions nearby! Full kitchen and the room was very clean! Loved that this room was pet friendly our dog really loved laying on the balcony watching the birds.
There are only a couple pool towels in the room, but a quick call to the front desk and they get you squared away quickly!!
The Historic Bayfront (Ripleys believe it or not and Wax museum) is a couple blocks away. They are on the same road. Plenty of shopping and sights on the Bayfront.
Try your hand at crabbing! The embarcadero has crab pot rentals as well as boat rentals, weather permitting for the boats. The dock, we've gone during each season and all types of weather and it has been available to use until 11 P.M. each night.
The price is fair in my opinion for all the amenities they offer as well as a private crabbing dock. That sold us, if you like to crab this is definitely the spot to try out. You drop your soaker pot and head back to your room for a while then check the pot!
The kids really enjoy the pool, they can swim for hours and they offer an hour in the morning and an hour before closing of adults only time so if you don't want to hear the screaming kids they give adults an hour morning or night to enjoy the pool and hot tubs. Which was a really nice way to end the day! Both the women's and men's bathroom/changing room at the pool have saunas!
They have a new restraunt inside the hotel lobby! We haven't tried it yet, but that's really nice they offer it so you don't have to go far at all to get a bite to eat!
There are between 5 and 20 stairs depending on the building you are in. Some of the upper buildings have more stairs than others. The walk from the upper buildings to the swimming area isn't that bad, but it is a walk. If you are not much a spring chicken anymore, like myself, or unable to make that walk with steps and stairs they have a parking lot near the swimming pool to park and then play at the pool or crab then drive back to the room!
Give the Embarcadero a try! They really help you to feel at home and comfortable! We definitely will keep returning!
Nearby activities: Ripleys believe it or not, Wax works, shopping, sea lions. The historic Bayfront has something for everyone!
