Hardy Creek Trailhead

The trails are cleared and easy to follow. You could spend hours up there or go for a short hike. It's fun for every age.

Beautiful and secluded hiking trails but awful for mountain biking. Lots of downed trees and overgrown areas make it impossible to traverse on a bike. Would definitely return to hike but never to bike.

Lots of garbage in parking lots with no trash bins. Trail isn't very well marked

This is a great area to explore. Its quite muddy right now and needs more trail cleanup to occur in the coming weeks. Youll find a roaring river and a network of trails through various moss laden forests. Its only open to horses and bikes after May 15th due to the rainy season. The bridges and signage could use an update. Being so close to Portland, it seems to be heavily used near the road which would benefit from some litter removal. Leftovers from late night redneckery and unsanctioned parking lot fires seem common here. Ill have to go back later to explore more trails or plan a canoe trip. I would think that there would be ample rainbow trout in this environment. Thankfully this area has been set aside because its truly a beautiful spot with only a few blemishes from human activity.
