Mrs. Julia and Sarah, they are very good people when it comes to customer service, nationality or race does not matter to them, they serve everyone equally, thank you very much for your kindness to these two great ladies.

Review edited* In short, I wouldn't really recommend this agency unless you're looking for a warehouse or general labor role. Many agencies in the metro are a mixed experience - depending on your background - yet working with them has been more challenging or unpleasant since 2020, on average. On a positive note, I appreciated their electronic application rather than having a traditional form shoved in my face (like so many others). Also, they promptly facilitated an interview with one of their clients in Clackamas. Unfortunately, my interviewer was substituted (without notice), which can happen for a number of reasons. However, most of the interview involved listening to their complaints about the attendance of a former employee (not a productive use of our time even if warranted). I provided feedback -- why I was interested in the position or schedule and my interest in cross-training or transferring into an inventory related position (upon establishing myself with the company, etc). As an introvert - someone who doesn't externalize as effectively - my face probably translated to "I'm not really interested". If your facial expressions are better suited for playing poker, then you might want to wear a mask and focus on body language. Anyway, it might have reflected poorly on the agency as I was seemingly chastised for bringing up inventory control... Which I didn't think was wrong considering it's a response to "where do you see yourself in 5 years?". Note: warehouse positions will often overlap with other internal roles (i.e. inventory, order selecting, shipping & receiving). Apparently, they'd rather resort to chastising you for trying to communicate your goals in an upfront manner (because communication styles in Portland are often more passive, indirect, or entail "reading between the lines" along with normalized " ghosting"). Note: this recruiter ceased communication until 3-4 months later when I applied for another position (through Indeed instead of their agency). I found it unprofessional how the recruiter verbally scolded me - "I sent you for a forklift position..." Well, unsurprisingly, they were equally unprofessional when I informed them how graveyard (night shift) doesn't work with my schedule / professional needs - which you should be able to communicate. Interactions with these types of individuals results in overthinking - seemingly searching for plausible explanations for behavior and why the experience of working with agencies / recruiters had declined in the last 3 years (given the unique and interesting challenges that both job seekers and recruiters must navigate). If you're like me, and you don't strictly adhere to external perceptions or expectations, (maybe haven't the same accomplishments through the same conventional means) then you can probably save yourself some time and energy by working with other agencies in the metro (of which there is no shortage). Honestly, I believe they're in the habit of profiling as much as categorizing - understanding how screening prospective candidates may necessitate greater vigilance & discernment ( in an employer's market). Plenty of people would rather draw their conclusions based on assumptions or perceived subtext rather than opting for more direct communication or understanding. You'll probably be judged / looked down upon for having a gap in employment (regardless of reasons, seemingly). If you struggled with depression (seasonal or otherwise), places in Portland will support you at a surface level (verbally) but most employers / agencies will perceive it as a potential risk, or attendance issue, rather than a response to external stimulus or judge & assume that you "milk unemployment" (on the contrary, I didn't qualify and used my own savings to cover the gap). I'm disappointed how easily or quick these recruiters and agencies are to judge or assume (even if we've all been guilty of it at some point to some extent).
