I have PTSD and Bipolar 2 with a complex navigational system that I have fine tuned over the course of 20 years and have managed to keep myself in a space of peace and love for myself and my conditons. We reached out specifically to help get tools for navigating postpartum communication issues and were quickly labeled as emotional abusive and told that we would always have issues in our relationship and that our newborn son was going to be bipolar, all while mentioning medication at least 4 times in a two hour session when we clearly stated this was not an option for us. This therapist is one sided and conditioned to create a case against one or the other with minimal to no skills in actually holding space for truama or regulation techniques. After attacking me for expressing that I communicate when I am going into a downward cycle with my partner she told me that this was not healthy and continued to belittle me with no compassion or listening skills for our specific relationship dynamics. Then after digging into my deepest abandonment wound and leaving me high and dry, decided to quote Abraham Hicks and the Law of attraction as some sort of power play for her own leverage of pushing her jargon on our relationship. To top it all off when I told her I am actually happy being bipolar she seemed to have a breakdown in understanding how anyone could be comfortable with this conditon. In my perspective this woman is not trained in truama education or safe space communications. For anyone with complex issues I recommend staying far away.

I had a traumatic experience with this therapist. Find the right one who will hold space for your pain with non-judgement.

Ive seen Suzanne off and on for a few years. She helped me through PPA after the birth of my child and then again during the pandemic when my anxiety spiked. Shes also done a few very helpful sessions with my partner and I. Highly recommend.
