I went to Dr. Thomas 2 days after both a finger injury and a dislocation shoulder injury. I had been to an Urgent Care in McMinnville who had referred me to Dr. Thomas the day I injured my finger. He reviewed the X-rays taken by Urgent Care and all he had to say was come back in a month and well X-ray it again. And the only thing he had to say about my shoulder is that it will dislocate more easily in the future. Feeling dismissed I made an appt with my general practitioner who ordered an MRI for my shoulder and referred me to an orthopedist at Providence Newberg. This doctor informed me that I had a full thickness tear of a rotator cuff tendon which needed mandatory surgery to repair. He also had X-rays retaken of my finger since Dr. Thomas facility never sent their files over after repeated requests. I received a phone call from the Providence Orthopedists office on my way home from my visit there saying I needed to see a hand surgeon immediately, that I had a detached flexor tendon with a piece of bone attached which could retract into my wrist thereby crippling me! By the time I had the finger operated on 4 weeks had passed which was the outside of the window where it might be too late for a positive outcome. Well, as it turned out it was too late. I had the surgery almost 8 weeks ago and Im having complications from waiting too late. Ive also had my shoulder tendon reattached which so far is behaving as intended. I dont know what Dr. Thomas was thinking but it wasnt about my wellbeing.

Broke my left femur. He has repaired it with a rod. I've got a long road of recovery, I'm glad he was there with his expertise and amazing encouragement I will be alright.

Dr Thomas did an excellent repair of my fracture. He was always clear and honest about what was ahead of me, and answered all my questions before I even asked them. His office staff is excellent! I hope I never need an orthopedic surgery again, but I will always recommend him!
