Stayed here for two nights. This hotel has been completely renovated. I was here last year when they were working on it and now its done! Every room is sparkling, clean and new. All the floors are A ceramic based wood pattern, instead of crappy carpet, that exists in most hotels these days. The front desk people are very kind and quiet. It does not have a restaurant or a bar, does have a snacks room and comes with hold breakfast. There are wonderful restaurants across the street for pizza and Mediterranean food, sushi, and Lake Oswego Grill is one block away. It has both including phenomenal food! I paid $122 per night which was way less than the other hotels in Lake Oswego. I come here when my dog needs a surgery because the only Dermatologist in Oregon, Dr. Plant of Skinvet Clinic, is in Lake Oswego. I will continue to stay here. Couldnt be a more beautiful hotel and the price is right! Rooms: Everything in my room is brand new. Everything! The floors, the bed, the big screen, TV, everything in the bathroom the beautiful vanity area, everything is sparkling, new and So clean! Its as if they gutted the old Phoenix in and started over. Safety: Lake Oswego feels very safe and friendly. Wherever I go that is just a few blocks from here including the Las we go grill, Trader Joes, Starbucks, the Desiree bookstore, everyone is very friendly and kind. I walk my dog in the early morning and the late evening and feel very safe. Walkability: Since I have my dog with me when I come, I enjoy walking to the Lake Oswego Grill And Starbucks, which are just a block away, and many other Shops and amenities near here. Lake Oswego is beautiful with green lawns, sidewalks, lots of trees and flowers.

Stayed here for a week in August 2023. Were a bit late getting around to this review but our experience stuck with us so we had to express how happy we were with our stay there. From check in to check out after 5 days, it was smooth sailing and impeccable service. The staff do a great job here, the breakfast service is also very satisfying and of a good standard, even for vegetarians :). Our children enjoyed the waffle maker and the selection of cereals. Staff were on point making sure everything was replenished in the breakfast service. Very polite and attentive staff in all areas of the hotel. Our room was cleaned upon request without any question. The room was very decent for the 4 of us (2 young kids) and the king bed was comfortable as was the sofa bed. Crib (Pack n Play) available upon request which was perfect for our 3 year old as he hadnt been trained in a proper bed at the time. The bathroom was clean and bright with great water pressure! The air conditioning was functional and a relief due to the very hot weather. The only disappointment to our stay was the pool was closed for maintenance but if the rest of the hotel is to go by I am sure they were just improving it for future guests. We had a very enjoyable and satisfying stay here. We look forward to coming back one day! Also would add that there are many restaurants within walking distance which was super convenient as we did not have a car. Rooms: Clean and very functional. Nearby activities: Plenty of food options within walking distance. Also, Trader Joes down the road - Walking distance. Walkability: Very safe.

Dear Best Western, If your occupancy is low, Sara at the front desk is the reason why. During the last snow storm the hotel didn't have electricity, (1/13/24-1/14/2024) but they had no problem keeping my money ($134.68) for a stay that never happened. I wanted to see if they would make it right by refunding my money on their own. A week later, I wound up having to drive all the way to the hotel to get my refund, because they don't answer their phone; and obviously weren't going to refund it to me on their own accord. I walked in, waited a couple of minutes in the lobby until I realized you had to ring a bell to get service. There is a huge sign saying to "Be patient as we are short staffed." I realized that the bell was not really ringing anyone (pretty sure it wasn't even plugged in). Alas! There is a phone number I can call! I called the number posted, and it rang about 10 times before what sounded like a little girl answered, telling me she can't hear me, and hung up. I called back and someone said, "They'd be there soon." Now at 15 minutes, I have yet to talk to somebody face to face. What a turn off. While standing in their dirty lobby, I'm thinking about how many other people have waited this long to rent a room, and just stole their candy and left to go to another hotel that actually wants customers? Eventually, a very put-out employee, ((Sara) (no last name on badge)) finally emerges from whatever else was more important than tending to a walk in customer. I recognized her right away. She was the one peering out at at all the other customers ideling in their cars in the hotel parking lot with nowhere to go. They all paid for a room on the 13th, showed up with belongings and animals becuase of the power outages. I could see her peering out at us with her long black hair through the front doors. She did nothing to engage with the paying customers. She should have gone outside, taken everyone's names and assured everyone a refund will be issued. Nope, not Sara! After sauntering slowly to assist me today, she had a grimace on her face that in no way made feel welcome. I said, I would like to get a refund for a stay that never happened (and I mistakenly gave her the wrong date). Instead of just looking me up by name, she gave me a mean look and wanted to argue about the date. Sara, in silence, progressed onto giving me my refund. No explaination or apology given for still having my money for a stay I didn't receive. I was happy our interaction was almost over. Then, with a very condescending tone she proceeded to tell me how the online reservation works. WOW!!! I told her that it doesn't feel right that I needed to come in and wait 15 minutes in person to get a resolution. Again, no one answers the phone. She responded by saying, "Well, you have it now, right?!" I told her, "You've benn a pleasure," and proceeded to leave. She had to get one more jab in before my exit by telling me, "you too." I travel the country for my career, and have never been in a situation that made me feel so unwelcome by such an apathetic, rude, disdainful employee. Deplorable interaction. Best Western, I look forward to your follow up. Thank you.

Hi Sharon, I am sorry you felt this way about your interaction. There was a lot to manage considering the circumstances that our business and all the other guests were facing on that day. I am glad you received your refund we were unable to issue until today. In all fairness, I did my best to provide you with the service you requested regardless of the smile I presented to you after you came in and requested your refund. Please feel welcome to give me a call so we could rectify this misunderstood interaction. Sara
