Apex Systems

I wrote this as another review for a recruiting firm and it's pretty much the same thing as the other one: 1) they contact me and tell me I'd be a 'great fit' 2) I send them my resume and we talk on the phone. They once again tell me I'd be a 'great fit' and get me excited about a position 3) they tell me they're going to 'forward my resume to their manager' 4) I never hear from them again even after repeatedly attempting to contact them If you get Inmail from them on LinkedIn, don't bother replying.

WORST experience with an employer Ive ever had. DO NOT RECOMMEND The initial hiring process took almost 30days because of the 3rd party they OUTSOURCE to run background checks through. I had to submit the same documentation multiple time to multiple different people because they do not properly communicate with each other within the company. -The training schedule along with my regular work schedule both completely changed once I started. -No proper guidance or clarification on time keeping, holiday pay, OT, MATERNITY LEAVE etc. They give you little to no information on these things until it becomes an issue. -Never give you an employee handbook or let you know who is in charge of what department until you bug them about trying to get in contact with the right person. -Once you address your issues they want everything done on their time when they say but will have you wait 4 DAYS just to be able to speak with someone from HR over the phone(meanwhile that same HR person is able to email back and forth with you all week, but cannot take a phone call). -GOD FORBID YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH YOUR PAYCHECK! Before you agree to work a holiday make sure you get your ducks in a row & have everything documented vie email to cover your end. - Lastly they are extremely rude. The only person who was decent to me was my recruiter(probably because she earns commission off hiring me).

Had an excellent exprience working with Ellie-- one of their Portland recruiters. As an older job seeker who is in the process of transitioning back into the healthcare field (only had 15 plus year experience and two health care degrees btw) have found most contract agencies will only half-heartedly (mostly as an afterthought) put my candidacy in front of their clients and then let me chase them around for a week after I don't call them back within a few minutes or am not willing to start immediately (Jebus, I have a job.). Not so here. In a month's time being represented by Apex, I had two job interviews at excellent companies, and one job offer. Apex (win)-Client (win)-John (win) situation. Isn't that how it is supposed to work? Call them!

I did some work through Apex and was impressed by the ease of interacting with them, the simplicity of onboarding, and fair pay. Other agencies treated me like I was guilty until proven innocent and offered compensation that wasn't competitive. And the place I work now has found a lot of good people to work with thanks to Apex.
