After reading a few books about real estate investing, my husband and I felt ready to shop for our first property while living overseas and preparing to move back to Portland, OR. We connected with Cory through Bigger Pockets, and were immediately impressed by his candid and patient approach to property hunting. As first time buyers, we benefited from Corys knowledge and willingness to teach. Our early conversations with Cory helped us to determine our criteria, and our many visits to properties around the Portland Metro Area helped us narrow down on our needs as owner/occupiers. We came to Cory with the goal of scaling up our real estate portfolio and increasing our returns. He assisted us with the consolidation of 3 of our properties (multi & single) into a 24-unit apt building outside of Multnomah County which was one of our requirements. Cory was able to market and sell the properties for list price and within the agreed upon time window for the 1031 exchange.
