Through a particularly ardous and lengthy case, Mr. Schaeffer maintained contact with his client and myself (mother of client). He was very responsive and did his best to calm my fears and explain each step of the process. Not just a dedicated defender, Jim is a genuinely nice person . Highly recommend!!!

Simple open and shut protection order. The judge wasn't giving us the time we needed to present our case. He wouldn't ask for a continuance and even though the petitioner admitted I have never touched her they ordered the protection order he did nothing to help and wasn't prepared for the case he also let them admit evidence in that we have never seen before. He won't speak up because he doesn't want to upset the judge for future cases instead of fighting for you which is why you pay him don't hire this man
