Though the owner came promptly when called for an estimate in early May, we were told we would have to wait until the end of June due to how busy they were. We were told that they would maybe even be able to swing by at the end of a bigger job and just tke care of ours really quick. We were given a quote for the removal of 2 med sized dying oak trees and 1 small one and the removal of a large branch from a large oak. The small tree was being thrown in for an additional 300 to make sure ease of access for the bucket. We were not given a written quote. When Aug rolled around and we had not seen or heard anything from the company we made repeated attempts to contact them. When we finally got hold of the owner we were told that they were waiting for the first rain due to fire dangers. This would not have been an issue if he had come when originally agreed on. When we called again towards the middle of Oct after several rains we finally reached someone who said that the boss was out hunting , but they would make sure to let him know we called. Finally we were contacted and told they would be here the next morning. The crew worked quickly, but failed to remove the small tree that added an additional 300 to the original price quoted. They only took a couple branches off the top of it. When questioned the boss told us that we must have misunderstood and that he under bid the job from the beginning. This is not the quality of service that we were lead to believe we would receive.All question of misunderstanding could be cleared up if a licsenced, bonded professional simply wrote a quote on paper!!! A business worthy of praise! Prompt, professional and skilled. Not only did they finish six tree in three hours, but they were reasonable in their prices too. I would definitely endorse this company and use them myself again.

After seeing the excellent work and clean-up by Columbia Tree Service on several trees in the neighborhood, I called for an estimate on planned dead tree removal. Kris not only promptly returned my call but came out that very afternoon. Surprisingly affordable estimate given the size and fully equipped nature of this established company. Kris was open, informative, transparent, and generous in sharing his observations and suggestions. My impression was "competence and integrity", and I am looking forward to the project.

This is how a business should be run! Chris, of Columbia Tree Service, promptly returned my voicemail inquiry and met me two days later for a free quote with regard to removing a large Western Red Cedar and a medium-sized fir. His quote was very reasonable. And more importantly to me, he was extremely accommodating to my schedule…as I need the work done as soon as possible. He sent Ty out to do the work…on a Saturday (Ty’s day off). Ty is a wonderful man with a superb work ethic. He single-handedly backed his chipper into the backyard, scampered up both trees to remove the branches and tops, and then did his chainsaw magic so the trees fell exactly where he needed them to fall. The branches were chipped, the trunks cut into 16” rounds for campfire use, and all of the rounds were piled into one place. He even went around the yard with a trashcan to pick up the smaller branch bits that came off during the process. Start to finish, it took maybe three hours. Columbia Tree Service is run by professionals who truly provided excellent service. I am very pleased.
