        A great place that is plentiful with high quality chestnuts! Mr Nella has a natural gift and passion for reforestation - chestnut, oak, etc. If you do anything in Mt Hood, visit Nella Chestnut Farm. Bring a picnic with a bottle of local wine from the various local wineries, pick up some top of the line chestnuts, ask Mr Nella to roast them for you - and have a fantastic, relaxing, peaceful afternoon.

        Does anybody know if the farm is open this year, 2023 or not? It seems like the website is gone and the phone number is no longer working. I love Nella Chestnut Farm and am hoping to go this weekend! Updates; The farm is open this year, 2023 as usual, and we had such a great time picking the chestnuts!

        We have been going to this farm for years. Always friendly and willing to talk about how best to roast chestnuts. Our mistake has been to arrive too late in Nov when the nuts have been mostly picked over. Learn from us and go in Oct.
