We love Eden Acres! All of the teachers and staff are so kind and truly care about creating a great learning experience for the kids. The student to teacher ratio is perfect and allows all kids to have their learning needs met. It has been the best thing for our whole family, really. Just knowing our child is cared for and getting a great education, while nurturing his love for the outdoors and curiosities of the world is everything. The things he has been learning he will use throughout his whole life. We are forever grateful for Eden Acres and excited to continue to watch our kiddo learn and grow there.

Excellent, caring, and cool school for kids. It's pretty far up in the hills above Helvetia, but it's worth it.

Summer Camp.
I feel compelled to share our thoughts on the week our daughter spent at the camp.
When she came home the first day she told us that everybody sat down and each child would say their name and what gender pronouns they would prefer.
She is 5.
This is the first time anyone has ever asked her to identify which gender she would like to be.
You could have asked each family prior to camp if their child wanted to go by a different gender than what they were born with.
The following day on Tuesday she came home and told me she had a group task, her and another kid. I asked how it went, how was your group buddy? She said it was OK. I asked what their name was. She forgot, but told me they were a Them. They were a them..
Because she didn't remember if they decided they would be a girl or a boy, she said they were a them.
Please.
Please consider how much confusion you are introducing to all these young children. Please give families a questionnaire with dietary restrictions, emergency contact / etc and have a line that asks if they choose a pronoun that is different than their given biology - but I encourage you do not continue this, especially with early kids.

Oh. There is also a cute rabbit on the property and the kids found out that (his) name is Jelly Bean, but the counselors told my daughter the rabbit was a they/ them.
