        Adopted two sweet chill chihuahuas - they were well taken care of with lots of medical care due to their injuries before our adoption. They both had a rough start to their lives, poor little things. The rescues are all with caring fosters and they adapted wonderfully to our home. Weve been so lucky to have them in our lives.

        The staff was nice and ready to help and answer questions. My main complaint is that the shelter is always smelly and the cat litterboxes are not timely cleaned - I dropped by a few times between adopting the kitty and dropping off donation items, each time I saw litterboxes full of clumps from kitty pees & poos. I feel bad for the cats living in such condition.

      Thank you for your kind feedback about our staff and your concerns for the kitties. We have anywhere from 15 to 20 cats of all ages and temperaments on site at any one time and some of them have potty and/or medical issues. The cat boxes are scooped every morning and deep cleaned and litter replaced every Saturday by our staff and volunteers. We agree living in kennels is not the most ideal way for them to live and that is why we try very hard to place them in foster homes once they are medically controlled or cleared. We would be happy for your help should you wish to volunteer.
