    They say you get what you pay for. In this case, youre paying a premium to feel like a fool. As someone who has experienced nothing but continuous disappointment as a tenant, I cannot emphasize this enough: !!! DO NOT LIVE HERE !!! They will play coy about the wait time for parking, assuring you it wont be long. Youll then spend 6+ months wondering when youll get a parking spot; racking up parking tickets and towing fees left and right in the meantime. If you are one of the unfortunate souls working a typical 9-5, then you will quickly find it is nearly impossible to park within two streets of your own apartment without leaving work early. Do you enjoy night life? Well I hope you also enjoy looking for a spot on the street when you get home like youre late to a superbowl game. Rinse and repeat every time you leave your own home. Same goes for guests, naturally. It appears they didnt plan their parking per unit, resulting in not enough parking for tenants once their units were filled. Im not sure whether theyre unable to solve the problem they created, but as result you will likely never have a spot you know you can park. You do not want to be stuck in this nightmare of an apartment. No matter how cute the aesthetic may be or what deals they offer, the underbelly is ugly and will leave you disgusted you wasted time and money living here.

    [Update 04/06/2024] Six months later and the secured access to our building is still broken. Holland Residential and its property managers are woefully negligent. [Update 08/30/23] Expired carbon monoxide detectors in attached garages have now gone 6 months without replacement. Street facing secured entry systems have been offline for a month. Unauthorized street access is now indistinguishable from garage break-ins. Amongst the many issues this presents, it guarantees conflict over who is at fault for property damage or theft. Management will exploit this to deny accountability how convenient for them! No community notice was posted about our compromised building security, which further establishes Elizabeths incompetence. Holland Residentials talent acquisition and training are a joke. The Villas at Amberglen West is a lawsuit tinderbox. Unmitigated ineptitude is systemic and clear from their Regional Vice President Jennifer F downward. Any sliver of trust you extend to this business will end in misfortune. Such negligent behavior while claiming to care for the well-being of residents is clownishly disingenuous. Ms. Lacey Mocaby ought to be ashamed. Residents are sure to incur injury or loss if these trends continue. [Original Post] Dangerous property. Failing carbon monoxide detectors in attached garages are ignored for months. Local fire department has stated that management is liable. HVAC is sub-optimal in common areas. Due to poor outside leading ventilation, you can smell what your neighbors are frying up two floors below while in your bathroom. Elevators are constantly malfunctioning or under repair I've been stuck once while it had an inoperable emergency phone panel. During the hour I was trapped, maintenance debated if they should call fire and rescue . . . Also, we all signed a no-smoking policy in the lease, however property management favors residents who harm others by smoking indoors. According to their own verbiage, it is a lease violation each time a resident lights up a cigarette inside. This amounts to hundreds of lease violations a week by a single offender, each of which are cause for eviction yet ignored.
