I recently visited Good Shepherd for my first ultrasound and, unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The appointment itself was quick, lasting less than 15 minutes, and it was a transabdominal ultrasound NOT a transvaginal one. However, I was shocked to receive a bill totaling $800 for just that single appointment. Even though I have insurance, I still have to bear the burden of this significant expense. In my previous experiences with ultrasounds during my two previous pregnancies, I had never encountered such a high cost for this particular procedure. I decided to contact their customer service to address my concerns and seek clarification on the exorbitant charge. To my disappointment, the representative informed me that they could only offer a 10% discount if I paid the full amount upfront. This response seemed illogical and failed to alleviate my frustration. Despite my efforts, I was unable to find anyone who could assist me in resolving this matter, and now the situation has escalated to the point where my bill has been sent to the credit report. Overall, my experience with Good Shepherd fell far below my expectations. The excessive billing, lack of satisfactory explanations, and the subsequent impact on my credit report have left me feeling dissatisfied and frustrated. I hope that the hospital takes steps to address these issues and improve their customer service in the future and I will never go back to this place !!!!

I would give 0 stars if possible they are unprofessional and ask if a learning student can sit in on a private screening like breast exam or pap smear, never call about results and lastly LOSE YOUR SAMPLE AND NEVER GET RESULTS OR CALL ABOUT THAT . Will never be returning and getting a new doctor

About every interaction I have had with this office has been negative. I've had two children previously in a different town. I never had to get blood work or anything before scheduling my first appointment. I was also able to schedule my first visit at eight weeks and they did an indepth explanation of the pregnancy process and office process throughout my pregnancy so I'd know what to expect. My experience at Good Shepherd was completely different. I wasn't allowed to schedule any appointments until after going to the lab and getting a blood draw to confirm my pregnancy (there was no doubt I was preganant). Then, the first I could schedule for was at ten weeks. I was going to be out of state during this time and they wouldn't allow me to be seen before traveling. I had to wait until well after the trip. I got really sick after that trip and went to my appointment to request labs, some by specific name. Dr. Snider dismissed my symptoms and concerns and told me "every pregnancy is different". I was not experiencing any sort of "normal" pregnancy symptoms. He only ordered two extra lab tests and didn't order the test I specifically asked for. I went undiagnosed for over two months with debilitating symptoms. I had a follow-up with Dr. Luder and he took my symptoms and concerns much more seriously. He questioned me as to why Dr. Snider didn't order the test I asked for along with another one. I'm not sure why I, the patient, was questioned about the decision making of another doctor in their office. He ordered the tests that should have been ordered previously, but at that point it was too little too late as my symptoms were resolving. Most recently I went to an appointment and was a few minutes late (I had childcare issues for my other kids who aren't allowed to come to the appointments). I had to stand and wait for the receptionist to pause a phone call, then she had to look me up. Once she pulled me up, she said I was six minutes late and they have a five minute late policy. I wasn't more than five minutes late when I got into the office and had to wait for HER to even assist me. I was forced to reschedule and she was very annoyed when I couldn't just come in the next day (I work full time and have two young children). I said I wasn't going to schedule until the next follow-up time and she wouldn't let me do that. Appointments there last fifteen minutes tops and I'm not given time to ask questions so it's pretty pointless to even go. I have no idea why I wasn't given the option of a shorter appointment, or a normal one given they are always running behind. I'm not being paid to sit in their office for 30+ minutes to wait for their staff, but being a few seconds over five minutes "late" due to waiting on their staff, was unacceptable to them. No idea if I'll be charged for this appointment but knowing their billing, I likely will. Any time I have called in to their office I've had to leave a voicemail or call back later because they don't answer their phones. Also, any time I'm taken to my room, there are multiple staff people standing in groups shooting the breeze so I'm not sure why they are always so far behind. I would NOT recommend going here. I've heard there are a few good OBs there but they are super booked up and hard to get into. Look somewhere else if you want an office that actually cares about the patient and not their bottom line.
