I was in a car accident right before COVID hit and was struggling getting my insurance company to pay for my physical therapy. The insurance sent me a letter basically saying I was too young and healthy to be in as much pain as I was and they were denying any more physical therapy even though I needed it. I was told by a friend to contact Mr. Melville and explain my situation. As a full time student, I really needed my body to work for the career that I chose, and I needed physical therapy to be able to function in school to become a medical provider. Mr. Melville and Ms Currier walked me through all the processes and options I had and did so multiple times without making me feel bad for all the questions I had. Not only did they get all of my physical therapy covered (which is what I originally intended), they even helped me get money for my claim which I didn't know was possible! The biggest thing that stood out to me was when it came time to decide whether or not to go further in the claim. They called me and we had a long meeting regarding my options. They were incredibly open and honest about the process. There was the possibility of adding my therapy sessions to the claim as well as I did suffer PTSD from the car accident. However, they very clearly stated that anything else that I spoke about in therapy could be up for discussion. I disclosed to them that I was a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and that this was discussed in therapy; the fact that my whole childhood I was abused, the explicit details of my abuse, and every detail imaginable could be contained in my therapy notes. I cried telling them this. They were SO compassionate and caring about it. They immediately offered their heartfelt sympathy and offered me so much support, while being gentle and incredibly compassionate. Once I felt better and was able to move the conversation forward, they did state that it would be in my best interest to not include the therapy as they do not want it to be brought up in any way and traumatize me further. This really showed me (among many other things) that they truly cared about me as an individual and they DO look out for your overall well being. I felt seen, heard, respected, and validated. They also went the extra mile for me. Being a victim of childhood sexual abuse, I was not given the chance to learn about "the real world" or "how things work in the real world." Mr. Melville and Ms Currier often did a lot of "hand holding" for me (as I put it, haha) as they gently and kindly explained every single thing to me because I do not understand legal terms or processes. Any time I had a question they would answer ASAP, and tell me in a way I could understand and never made me feel bad about having so many questions. They also helped keep me on task with what I needed to do because, like I said, I had no idea what happens after a car accident and what I needed to do. 10000000% recommend Mr. Melville, Ms Currier and their team. I can't thank them enough for their compassion, kindness, and expertise. I will look to them in the future if I ever need services again!
