Rogue Protection Group

I took the basic handgun/consealed carry class with Rogue Protection Group with Dustin. This class is very informative and sets you up with a great foundation for shooting. Dustin is a great instructor and has a wealth of knowledge. I highly recommend and I will definitely be looking for more classes.

On July 23, 2022 I signed up for Oregon DPSST armed security course through Rouge Protection Group. Kelly did not follow the curriculum set by the Oregon DPSST, I had printed off the curriculum for the course of the DPSST website. Use for force continuum? Not covered. Shooting Scenarios? Kelly added his opinion to them, instead of following the DPSST standards. Kellys behavior during the class was very rude and his language towards his students is very vulgar. This turned me off and after 18 hours. I had to walk away from Rouge Protection Group. Do yourself a favor, learn from my error. If you want a armed or unarmed DPSST certification to work as a security guard. Go someplace else. You be $300 ahead

Kelly and his staff are amazing. If you go to his classes and you don't know everything Kelly and staff will help you out showing you the right ways of doing it. Very helpful on you and your staff.

My wife and I started going to classes with Rogue Protection Group 4 years ago. We keep going to the same classes over and over again because there's always new material and we like the practice. We have found every instructor knowledgeable and professional.

Been going to RPG for the last 6 years to certify in unarmed and armed private security for gigs all over the state. Upon attending I got professionalism from the Owner about classes and in depth knowledge from Kelly and his staff on the range and in the classroom. I was able to gather real situational base training but also state requirements and more. I have seen a lot of security guys go through the courses and company who have passed baseline DPSST standards and curriculum and think theyre military contractor operators, who later fail the advanced training with in-depth weapon handling and critical thinking process. What I love about this company is they do everything required by the state and bring more to the table to maintain the thought of why you carry a gun. They really make you think why and not just because of work or it looks cool. Ive seen realistic conversations and opinions from students who think theyre gunfighters and Kelly and his staff bring facts, science, biology and realism to make sure people truly understand even if it hurts their ego because this is non ego lifestyle and RPG focuses on knowledge transfer in hopes to keep students alive if presented with a situation.
