Electricity went out in living room only.  3 weeks to get estimate.  Service was great, but way overpriced!  Diagnose = $450.  Final cost $2300 to 1. Replace cadette heater2. Replace 2 wall plugs3. Replace 2 breakers. 1 day off to do the work1 day off to wait for inspector to look at my wall and breaker box = 5 minutes total. Inspector said should have cost half!  Rip off.

I'm in the midst of a to-the-studs remodel of a 1948 home in Gladstone. The original wiring was ungrounded and the panel upgrade circa 1980 was insufficient for the high electrical demands of a modern home, much less the expected amp draw in the future with multiple EV chargers. We ripped it out and started over. Mr. Electric managed the project to replace the entire electrical service starting at the power pole in the street. The home now has a 320A service, new meter/main setup, and a pair of Leviton Load Center smart panels. With this new setup the home is ready for at least the next 50 years. What I appreciate the most about Mr. Electric's team is their professionalism. Every technician who came to the property knew his craft and expressed a positive, friendly attitude. Further, the team managed each detail of the project scope, permits, coordinating with PGE crews, and inspections. I'm confident the job was done right and exceeds building code. There are a lot of construction tasks I'm willing to tackle myself, but not the installation of a new electrical service. Bring in the pros and make sure this foundational element is correct.
