Hirons on 18th is by far and away the best pharmacy in Eugene/Springfield area. The staff have always been super professional and helpful even when I have had maybe a crazy request or lots of questions. The pharmacies hours however are slightly different from the stores hours and i think it is confusing so for the sake of setting things straight the pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 8:30AM - 7:00PM; Saturday 9AM-6PM; Sunday CLOSED. I hope this helps someone.

If i could give less than one star I would. This pharmacy has repeatedly given me issues with filling my medication and the technicians have been NO help. To clarify, it has not been an issue on my end: I have had a Doctor directly call in a prescription to the 18th location, only for the pharmacy to claim they have not received an order. For well over a year, I have dealt with frequent withdrawal symptoms after my prescriptions were unaccounted for/delayed for some reason (they refused me access to the emergency supply when I was visibly shaking). No auto-refill options, closed on Sundays, slow service, generally unhappy technicians. 0/10 stars -- Do yourself a favor and get your meds ANYWHERE else (for instance, Hiron's on Franklin which has been nothing but wonderful to me.)

I worked here in 2022 for a few months and this was by far the worst job I have ever had. I would like to start out by saying my real name is not Orlando Cunningham so if the owner responds saying there is no record of me working there I did in fact work there lol. To start, every morning the owner / owners dad came in and was incredibly rude to staff. On multiple occasions he told employees they were easily replaceable and overpaid (keep in mind most staff were making minimum wage or near minimum wage). Long term staff there deserve way better too. The Hirons brand is all about a small local business that cares for the community, yet treats their own staff like garbage. Turnover was and is abysmal for these reasons at my store. My manager and supervisor at the time (who I believe dont work there anymore) loved to micromanage. Let me provide some examples! One of my supervisors made everyone except the first cashier and herself clock out while they counted the last till but would not let us leave. This means that we were not allowed to leave after close but were not getting paid. One of my coworkers brought this up to the supervisor that this was illegal and the supervisor said then quit! Youre not doing any work! The parking for staff was in the back of the building but we were required to enter through the front door instead of the back door located right next to staff parking. One time, inventory was being dropped off and the side door was open. I walked through the door since it was open and my manager made me walk back out and enter through the front door after yelling at me. One time I clocked in before I put on my apron and my manager made me clock out for ONE MINUTE because I should have had my apron on before I clocked in. These examples dont seem like much, but keep in mind that micromanagement was constant! We had to carry walkie talkies to communicate with other staff, then the owner started making us wear wired earphones so that the conversations were more private. Im sorry, but Im not about to wear an uncomfortable headset for multiple hours at a retail job making minimum wage to make employee conversations more confidential when 99% of them were along the lines of price these items, can I go on break, etc. I requested off a weekend two months in advanced and my manager said yes. I ended up getting scheduled that weekend and I said I got the time off. My manager proceeded to tell me essentially that I should be considering the store more. Hirons promotes itself as a small local business that cares for its community but then proceeds to underpay its staff and treat them poorly. A small business owner should understand the importance of their staff as they are much more involved with their employees than say the CEO of Target or Safeway. When I was at Hirons, I felt like management and the owners did not care about any of their staff. Benefits for full time staff are horrible as well. The employee discount is probably the only saving grace this company has to offer, but most of the products offered are marked up astronomically; yare better off shopping at the dollar tree/Walmart and getting prescriptions from Rite Aid or Safeway. I knew people who worked there after I left and I heard these issues still exist which is why I am leaving this review. It makes me mad that none of these issues have been addressed and its been two years since I have worked here! I hope that the owner can see where I am coming from and hopefully 1) raise the wages for ALL employees, 2) treat the employees with the respect they deserve and 3) provide supervisors and managers with higher quality training to lower the turnover rate. You can work at Hirons for minimum wage and little opportunity for growth or you can work at Taco Bell, target, or restaurants and make significantly more money and feel more valued.
