We are extremely pleased with the results of having Beck Painting paint our 25 year old solid wood kitchen and laundry room cabinets. Abel, Sean, and crew did exactly what Abel said they would, at the quoted price, and the result is stunning! In addition to being perfectionists, they completely sealed off the work area from the rest of our home while working, yet provided us access to our sink, refrigerator, microwave, washer and dryer each evening, and installed an exhaust fan/hose for ventilation. Those kind efforts made it possible for us to remain comfortable in our home throughout the process. Our kitchen remodel was on a slow two-year plan. Repainting the cabinets was the final task. And it was sad: chipped, once-white cabinets, exposed wood at the sink and window, uninspired hardware. Our family was tired of it. So last autumn, I obtained several quotes for cabinet repainting. Beck Painting was a standout for several reasons, but mostly I appreciated the initial walk-through evaluation by Abel and his clear project proposal/estimate. He and his company have a strong resume and superb reviews. It wasnt a tough decision. The work was executed and completed exactly as proposed, on time. Every crew member was simply outstanding - their exactitude and care, just phenomenal. I personally would not have been so gracious, working as diligently as they did in that sealed off kitchen. The result is a stunner of a makeover. There is nothing I would change. Very few work projects in this old house have been carried out so flawlessly as the repainting of the kitchen cabinets. I confess that for a crazy minute, before we came to our senses and decided to go the professional route, I thought that our family could DIY this project ourselves. But as we discovered in our research, we would have needed to proceed as this team did if we wanted to do it right, with endless masking, filling, and sanding before applying the first of several coats of paint. Plus, wed be slopping it on with brushes using standard paint from some store, not spraying on the fine Italian product that Beck Painting uses a paint that is at once elegant and so highly durable it somehow seems fused with the wood. Thered be no way we could ever tackle a project like this ourselves unless we wanted to tragically repaint chipped cabinets every few years and hate each other forever in the process. Instead, what we got was a kitchen Im so terribly proud of. Its like joyful dynamite.
