Like many reviews, it took forever to get a hold of people. Calling daily and never getting calls returned. FINALLY got a visit scheduled. The day of the visit something came up and I called to let them know we were running late and of course got no answer. We got there 5 mins late and we're told the therapist had left and that we would be cancelled for a "no show". I explained we weren't a no show, obviously I was there talking to her. I said I had tried to call to let them know we were running late. I was told VERY rudely that there was no receptionist to take calls and that it wasn't their responsibility to answer the phone. I decided after this run in, to go else where. If they are that unprofessional and rude just trying to get in, I can't imagine they are very compassionate in therapy. If your business is helping those struggling with mental issues perhaps you should treat people with compassion and respect.

It's a lovely office And possibly great if you have little "T" trauma or simple issues. These days everyone and anyone gets into counseling and therapy, its a lucrative business ...And that's the people who work here. I fired my therapist here because, while she was nice to talk to , She failed me. I am going to the most difficult time of my life right now because someone I love is experiencing psychosis. I talked about it in my session, because it's the biggest thing in my life right now and she never once thought to tell me, or knew to tell me, That what I was describing was symptoms of psychosis or schizophrenia and that my loved one needed to get in and get treated for that. My loved one is in recovery from drugs and alcohol and I am new to that, so I just thought that his hearing voices and seeing spirits...Talking to people aren't there, was a normal after effects of addiction...Week after week I talked about the difficulties & urgency not once did the word psychosis or schizophrenia enter the conversation. As the primary person caring for my loved one, this would have been so Important to know. These people go undiagnosed & they end up dead or in jail And here I am seeing a therapist & my therapist doesn't even tell me what this could be? He has schizo effective disorder & developed addiction self medicating (as is common) Luckily I got on Google to look up some thing about talking to people that aren't there & I found the right information then started educating myself and listening to doctors and other people living with it & finally got him to go in & get treatment ... I also asked my therapist here for something that therapists agree to easily & without hesitation for their clients who need it and she told me no. She doesn't give that to clients who need it because She worries that she wouldn't know if clients were coming to her just for that "benefit". After seeing her for many months & knowing the severity of my problem & the severity of the problems of my loved one I was dealing with There was no questions that I had come to her just to receive this "benefit" (not drugs...a letter...for a support i needed...well i didn't actually even need her letter as i already had one but it was old & i worried someone might require a recent one) People living with trauma, and severe mental health issues Don't need to be treated like that for asking for something so simple and easy and appropriate! They have a little comfort in the world The tiny comfort that letter would have offered is actually huge to ppl suffering & why most therapists give it without hesitation. Like many places these people are not capable of handling big "T" trauma But they will take your money or your insurance companies money and fake it for a while until it ends up hurting the client who they are inadequate to help

Was turned away because I needed "too much" help. I was told the supervisor of the establishment made my therapist drop me as a client and I wouldn't be able to receive help until I healed more on my own. I need help now more than ever and this is an absolute outrage. So don't be "too sick" if you want to seek help from this place. Or I guess just lie otherwise they won't help you. So obviously they just want easy clients to milk money from and not put any actual work in. I would recommend going literally anywhere else in town than to Alive Holistic Counseling if you need any level of help above very minimal basic counseling.

I found Alive Holistic in 2020. I, as well as many others, began searching for counseling to help navigate the bone crunching panic that the pandemic inflicted on us all. I feel so grateful to have found Corrie Piper. Shes highly skilled , but also offers a comfortable space free from the typical stale clinical feel of a therapists office. In 2021 I lost a parent, and I was able to move right into grief counseling. I cant tell you how grateful I am to have had the support system of both my therapist and Alive Holistic. The Alive Holistic team embodies the importance of holistic care, and theyre excellent at finding the right fit for the need. I highly recommend this group!
