They had me in and out quickly. Filled out an application for energy assistance, talked with energy assistance, and was sent on my way with a pledge of payment to my power bill, all within 20 minutes? So gratful.

If youre in a crisis housing situation, dont try CSC. The likely hood of you getting actually accepted for help is very slim, but they dont tell you that. Theres a long list of requirements you must meet that the case workers dont actually tell you about until your actual appointment (the one in which determines whether or not you get denied). I was told to not give my landlords any form of payment after I applied for assistance with my rent that was late because if I did, it could jeopardize my eligibility. Well that got me evicted, and I didnt get accepted for help from CSC. The reason being, is that I wasnt able to provide both of my recent paystubs. Despite having multiple other ways to prove my income. I provided the very LONG list of documents and was only missing paystubs which was a flub on my workplaces part. I wish I hadnt of wasted my time, because I might not be facing an eviction if I had tried to get help from somewhere else. Also I was told that even though now I have an eviction notice, I cant reapply since I already got denied even though the circumstances are different. So thanks CSC for giving people false hope!
