After many recs from friends, I chose Powder House for a new boot fitting + purchase. I'm glad I did - John (and the rest of the team) was incredibly helpful and attentive through the whole process, answering all of my questions, being beyond generous with his time and knowledge, and ultimately helping me find my perfect boot. Unfortunately, due to it being end of season, they didn't have the exact boots I wanted in stock on my initial visit (my fault for waiting until April!). Instead of encouraging me into a different, wrong pair, they suggested I find the boots elsewhere and come back if I wanted custom fitting/heat molding. I did come back, but the boots I got fit so well from the jump, I ended up only needing new footbeds with some customization. I never felt pressured or upsold, and instead felt like I was chatting boot tech/fit with a wicked knowledgable ski buddy. I've now skiied a handful of days in my new boots and I am stoked! Thank you John and Powder House!

Super nice team, convenient location, tons of staff, quick turnaround. Had a core shot fixed by them that unfortunately didnt hold but the customer service was solid and the store manager called me directly to resolve the issue.

Airline lost my board bag so I had to rent gear for a day. I paid extra for the demo snowboard package ($65) and they ended up using the same boots they use for regular rentals. The quality of the boots can make or break a day on the mountain. Needless to say, the boots were awful. Im a woman and they rented me mens boots. My feet hurt the whole time. When I returned them the person working asked how my day went. I told them the board was fun but the boots were awful. His reply was, Yep, rental boots are pretty bad. Im really glad I got my board bag back today.

We had a terrible experience with Powder House this week. We drove up from Corvallis, rented skis, and both my husband and my skis didn't fit properly. His kept falling off and he had to rent different skis at the mountain. I got mine to work but they were incredibly difficult to get on and off the whole day and felt heavy. I was cold and went into the lodge early and left my skis outside for my husband to take to the car. Apparently some other dude grabbed the skis before my husband got to them, brought them back to Powder House, and we get a phone call from them blaming ME for taking the wrong skis and telling us that we have to take an hour round trip to bring them back from our Air BnB. No apologies for the inconvenience, very condescending, we won't be going back. We also heard at Mt. Bachelor from other skiers that skis from Powder House often have loose bindings and are not adjusted properly. I don't like the way I was treated while in the shop or over the phone today. No thank you.
