Caldera Medicine is a hot mess. Avoid at all costs. This place used to be great when it was Weeks Family Medicine, but now that it's switched to Caldera it feels like nobody is in charge. I had to wait 10 days for results on my cancer biopsy from CORA (Central Oregon Radiology Associates)...after 3 days I called Caldera every day, staff continually reassured me that my results weren't in yet, but "no news is good news". On the tenth day, I got my results back only when I became irate and demanded to speak to the office manager. It turns out, CORA had sent in my results after only 2 days, I confirmed this directly with CORA. And absolutely no, no news is NOT good news, my results were non-diagnostic and they have no idea what this mass is. Why did staff lie to me? Why did nobody get involved and take initiative? The office manager reassured me this wouldn't happen again, but for a subsequent biopsy, after a week I still didn't receive a scheduling call. Same story: CORA & St. Charles confirmed that nothing had been received for scheduling after 7 days, despite a discussion with a Caldera staff member. I had to go to Caldera in person and refuse to leave until St. Charles confirmed a biopsy order was received on their fax line. Just to be safe, the Caldera staff member actually recommended I DRIVE my biopsy order printout over to St. Charles to be given to scheduling. I don't know if what I have is benign or malignant, but I can't fathom why Caldera would be fine with adding weeks to my treatment timeline due to their incompetence. A medical malpractice claim would easily destroy a small practice such as this due to coverage non-renewal or violation of coverage provisions, but they simply seem unconcerned or unaware of the danger. Not open on weekends anymore and became extremely long wait to see your doctor nowadays. But overall it's a good place!

Exceptional! I cannot say enough about this practice and Kristen, my amazing Nurse Practitioner. During Covid they immediately embraced technology to keep connected to their patents. Kristen has always been communicative and consultative in her approach. I am so grateful she is willing to research solutions and be creative. She goes above and beyond. I am struck by the warmth and expertise of this group every time!!!
