The Commons Cafe and Taproom

Updated review: I have actually returned on the regular as it is an undeniably cozy and welcoming all-season space to chill alone or with friends. Plus, the coffee is actually good. Many tasty libations (beer, wine, pellegrino, etc) to choose from, depending on your mood. The staff are pleasant enough, and I've come to learn the oft-present owner is a kind-hearted community builder...and who wouldn't want to support that? Another appreciated perk is they allow one to bring food from elsewhere without bother. I really like this place.

Wonderful "hang out" atmosphere with views of the river and park! Parking: The parking lot adjacent to The Commons is a pay lot but if you drive south a block you can almost always find free street parking near the library.

Lovely little cafe on the river, I was able to enjoy my breakfast with a view. I wasn't expecting it to be so noisy! Loved the old house and the coffee was good. Vegetarian options: Pastries were largely vegetarian Dietary restrictions: Clearly labeled food Parking: Large parking lot for the nearby shops Kid-friendliness: There are games available for kids to play.

Live music, farmers market and various shops and tower theater exhibit the multicultural architecture and function. Come witness for yourself.
