AD Glass and Design

This is an amazing place to learn glass blowing hands-on. I'm a total beginner. Look at the pictures, and you see that within one hour I'm working the furnace and shaping glass. Aaron is a fantastic teacher. The studio is also an excellent place to find beautiful glass art gifts. This is a must-see for anybody who's a crafter visiting Bend.

This little family shop is warm and welcoming. The glass blowing class was very hands-on and I was able to participate in almost every step of the process. I did not miss getting the molten glass out of the 2400F furnace - happy to let the pros handle that part. We had a ton of fun and the instruction was very informative. Highly recommend!

I found AD Glass & Design when search for something fun to do with friends last winter and fell in love with creating glass pieces with Aaron, Sue and of course Lola the mascot! I have been taking lessons ever since. Aaron is a patient and knowledgeable teacher with 20+ years of experience. When I don't listen to his instruction, disaster! Luckily, that was only once and we now have many many pieces, that have been created successfully, that I can share with family and friends. I highly recommend doing an experience or stopping by the showroom to see amazing glass creations and take home a totally unique piece! Great as a gift,date night, girls night or just a fun time!

We bought our grown daughters a vase experience for Christmas, $120 each. Aaron was working the glass with one of our daughters and the vase broke from the rod. She was so disappointed and she wasnt even handling the glass. He said these things happen and she left with nothing. Still had to pay. Horrible experience!

I learned about this glass blowing studio and I was excited to see what kind of blown glass pieces they have on display. I drive by their studio every day on my way to work on Century Drive, so I decided to pop in and see that they have. To my delight, they have a variety of lovely pieces, all with such differing shapes, colors and utility. I collect hand blown candy dishes and I discovered they have a great selection for me to choose from. The colors are so vibrant they remind me of pulled taffy and other fun candies. Aaron is a true artist and his pieces are on par with pieces I have seen in galleries. I used to visit the Great Pumpkin Patch in Palo Alto, in the Fall, where glass pumpkins are displayed on the lawn, by the hundreds. Aarons glass pumpkins are just as pretty as the ones I have enjoyed looking at, and buying, in Palo Alto. Aaron, who designs the pieces, and Sue, who assists in the creations, are both so kind. I appreciate that they are down to earth and they are passionate about what they do. I learned that I can purchase an experience of blowing a glass creation with Aaron. I dont know what I will create yet, but I am looking forward to trying this new and fun experience. I also want to treat myself to a new piece this year. I would love to buy a matching vase and candy dish, which they sell. I will post a photo of what I purchase and/ or what I create. I am so excited!
