We worked with Tyson Gillard on a large project in Hood River. Tyson was a pleasure to work with. His project management skills assured that the project was run smoothly and efficiently, and his professionalism helped create a collaborative and creative atmosphere for the team. Working with Life Design has been great! Tyson has very good ideas and is a good listener to my thoughts and ideas. He's got classic knowledge, skills, and fresh ideas. He's been a thoughtful help with cost controls, which have been important as this is our down-sized, retirement home. I like the way he works with the construction team too.

Life Design Build is the most exceptional discovery I have made in years. This team is very talented, and they seem able to produce exquisite building solutions every time. They took my project on as if it were their own home. They cared about every last detail - presenting me options, walking me through the implications of each, and sweating the details to make sure I received the absolute highest value for every dollar I was spending on my home project. This kind of dedicated service and integrity is rare, and I was so fortunate to have found a contracting team with their talent and integrity as I made the largest financial investment of my entire life. I have no words for how happy I am. I will absolutely return to Life Design Build for all my future needs.

Tyson designed a bedroom & bath addition for our condo. The project started out as a small project - a drawing to show prospective buyers how they might develop 260 square of storage space. We decided not to sell, and had him flesh out the design with measurements and other details to submit to the City of Portland for a permit. No matter what the task was, great or small, Tyson maintained a positive can-do attitude and was far more responsive and speedy than we dreamed anyone could be! The City of Portland has a notoriously difficult permitting process; Tyson navigated it artfully and was our representative through all of the confusion, delays, consults, and hearings. We could not have gotten through the process without his ongoing support, expertise, encouragement and persistence. He listens well and came up with a design that will perfectly meet our needs. We endorse him very highly and would turn to him for future projects with no reservations!
