Giancarlo Pozzi, CPA

We have had great luck with Giancarlo at Pozzi-CPA services. They kept us in the loop and have saved us significantly over our previous tax accounting firm helping us take advantage of things we had not seen before. The communication is excellent so I'm not sure what happened with some of these other people but I can attest this was not the case for us and we are not great with follow through.

Similar experience to everyone else. Thought I'd try a new CPA this year to get a different perspective and maybe some fresh ideas. This was a bad idea. After initial setup in January, radio silence until October 22nd. Didn't even let me know my extension was filed or not. NOT A SINGLE EMAIL OR PHONE CALL. October 1st, I went back to my old CPA because of the looming October 17 deadline. And as mentioned, October 22nd, they contact me seeking answers to quite a lot of questions

Hi all, this is a big red X. Do not attempt. My personal experience is that I dropped my tax information and questionnaire on September 9th 2022. No contact. Voicemails and emails unanswered except for one time when we got an email promising quick results and excuses. Then more nothing. Giving a star because after another January 2023 plea on the phone from me the office sent my package back. If you google a bit on Pozzi you will find this is the way he operates. He is still holding my mother in law's information even after many repeated emails to get it back. Dumb on me not to back up my information but lesson is learned.

I too have experienced the same issues with this firm. He filed my this years taxes late and stated he had filed an extension, although I never saw proof. The IRS sent me a notice of underpayment on tax year 2020 of which they had assessed penalties and interest. I contacted Pozzi who had assured me that he would take care of it, I just needed to send him a copy of the IRS notice. He never acknowledged he received the notice or responded to my 5 phone calls or email, I never heard from him again after that, so I just paid the penalty. Unbelievable lack of integrity and professionalism, such a disappointment! I'm going to pay to have 2021 taxes looked over by another tax accountant to make sure I won't receive any future notices from the IRS. This firm does not stand behind their work. AVOID THIS BUSINESS, SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT AND IT COULD COST YOU!
