The review by Gina below is one example of why the amazing people who work at non-profit organizations like this burn out and give up. Blaming a social service agency for her own eviction is absurd and childish. Their reply to her is spectacular, nevertheless. We all need a better economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy and fortunate few. Well never get very far with petulant rants like that.

This organization has gone above and beyond for me. Granted, this hasnt been the easiest process. The amount of people needing help, to the amount of people working, the funding available there are SO MANY challenges for everyone involved. I almost felt like I was being passed off to different people (I have multiple organizations involved for my specific situation) But what Ive come to realize, is that individuals can only carry such a heavy work load. Its a flowing system. The sooner I do my part, the sooner they can do theirs, and the sooner another applicant can be helped. Have faith and trust in their system. If youre facing eviction, have a 10-day notice, or even have a court date Keep calling! They will get to you to help. You have to jump through ALL of the hoops. Its not a super simple process. You have to remain diligent. I called SO MANY times, just to leave messages over and over again, knowing the clock was running out. They are helping as much and as fast as they can. All you can do is put in your best effort on your own, and they will meet you there as soon as possible. Dont give up!

WE ARE GETTING EVICTED BECAUSE NO ONE HAS RESPONDED OR HELPED AFTER THEY SAID THEY WILL!!! I applied for help in June and was told that we have everything, everything was good, the lady gave me the note to give to the landlord. Then September 30 was the "end" for protection. Well my landlord nor I have EVER HEARD ANYTHING. I have called more than 80 times, emailed. My landlord tried calling, NO ONE HEARD A WORD!!! I was able to get through to a different area of community action, and she told me that they are behind 600 applications and only 7 people working! They see my application but are still working on it. This was mid October!! She said she will send an email to them on my behalf. However hasn't!!! NOW WE ARE BEING EVICTED BECAUSE OF THEM NOT RESPONDING IN ANY WAY!!! they were supposed to help for 2 months!! And haven't! Now we are being evicted because they never responded or ANYTHING!!!
