My kids & grandkids & great-grandson & I painted an urn for their grandfather's burial Jan was very patient and helpful & there's a great selection of ceramics castings to pick from from holidays to everyday use I can't imagine you getting better service anywhere else thank you so much Jan are family appreciates you

I cant understand how all these other reviews say how kind, patient and welcoming the owner is. Is this even the same place I took my kids too?? I found my experience here to be nothing as others described. The owner Jan was not friendly nor welcoming to me and my kids. The place was cluttered and the painting area consisted of two small rectangle party tables, one of which was halfway covered in stuff and had someone who appeared to know the owner personally painting her project at, leaving my three kids and I to cram into the remaining table. The owner didnt allow us to get our own paints while we were there. Every time my kids needed more we had to ask for itwhich was multiple times. Was she afraid wed waste her paint? Make a mess? Not very welcoming or fun for the kids. She also made a comment to my 6yo about not playing with the water dish or hell get in trouble when he wasnt even touching it! Not sure if she was trying to be funny but it certainly didnt sound like it and it made my him very uncomfortable. She also sat across from us at the table the whole time which made us all feel awkward. Even my husband commented that she was rude after he came back from picking up the projects. My 6yo was so excited for his first ceramic painting experience and I am so disappointed in our experience since the reviews were all positive. I definitely do not consider this kid-friendly and absolutely do NOT recommend if you want a FUN, upbeat, clean, laid back place to take your kids for a fun painting session. Perhaps the owner is skilled and knowledgeable or great at teaching adults but this isnt the place for kids. Will take them and my money elsewhere next time.

I started taking courses from Jan today. She has a lot of pottery experinece and is very friendly. This place will leave a positive signature on my life by teaching me new things.
