Batter Up

We had the biscuits and gravy and Buffalo chicken waffle sandwich. All hot, fresh and very tasty. Biscuits were tasty and well structured. Waffle was sweet, complementing the spicy chicken well. Only slight down was the coffee. While being very tasty, was full of grounds.

I visit BatterUp at least twice a month. Their food is always delicious, the staff is very friendly, and the prices are good. I personally recommend the MVP, their house-made bacon sausage is absolutely amazing.

I don't normally write Google reviews for places, but I was pleasantly surprised by Batter Up and wanted to share. I didn't expect much going in; the general atmosphere around lunch time (and Baseball motifs) didn't instill a lot of confidence. All that said, the food was absolutely amazing for the price. Extremely tasty, decadent, homestyle sinfulness that reminded me of home, (as I am a Texas transplant) and some of the best fried chicken my wife has had since moving to Oregon. The MVP, which I ordered, was excellent. The fries were crisp and well seasoned, and some of the best I've had in a long time. The waffle holding the sandwich together, a Belgian, was shockingly fluffy, when I've often found many Belgian waffles quite dense and stiff. Altogether, everything just came together excellently, and while the aesthetic of the store isn't exactly my cup of tea, the food, service, speed, and affordable price, (considering the satiety of the food) has made this one of my best restaurant experiences in the last few years. Highly recommended for fans of waffles, fried chicken, and (surprisingly) good old Southern cooking.

Nice place, ordered the monte Cristo, chicken and waffles, and a lolly waffle sampler. Chicken and waffles were great, monte Cristo and was good, and lolly waffles were fun but not great. Street parking, usually not too busy. Some fun creative waffle options - could be great if you want to try something different.
