Update: I have called two separate HVAC repair people and explained my problem. They both assured me the ductwork is not the issue and BOTH have me on standby to come over when the furnace is not working to diagnose the exact problem. Companies Ive never given money to are more willing to help than a company I gave thousands of dollars to. Be careful with these people.
I added a brand new air conditioner and furnace to my house. The air conditioner works but weve had problems with our furnace since install. Last winter, they came out and kept saying the problem was a dirty filter (even after we replaced it multiple times). They insisted nothing was wrong. They had me replace the thermostat and that didnt work either. This winter we are still having cold days. When I called, I mentioned my warranty and someone finally came out. This time, they let me know theres a code I should pay attention to (took them a year to tell me). I was just grateful they were finally coming back and taking me seriously. The man discovered a pinched HOSE and said that was for sure the problem and it would work. We are still experiencing the same issues. They came out and cut a hole in the back of it. Came a week later and closed it back up. They said they may be worried it was the ductwork overheating the unit, but the previous furnace was fine and the unit is not heating for 8+ hours at a time (clearly not overheated) I requested they come out and actually take apart the unit and see what is wrong with it. The front desk girl agreed. A few days later I was emailed back and was told that the problem is the ductwork, I have a quote for about 3k and now theyre ghosting me for the second year in a row. Im going to just pay to have someone else come take a look. At this point we cant trust anything these people say, and even though we have a warranty they dont care to honor it. Their conclusion was a total shot in the dark because they have not actually taken the machine apart and checked every piece, despite finding bent components after research. We have been very patient. I work from home and its 61 degrees some days and Ive not complained when Im waiting for them to have time to come inspect their own work. This is very disappointing, because as a first time home owner they were wonderful with me in the beginning. Now I have a furnace that is cold 50% of the time and a useless warranty.

I called several companies to come give a quote on a heatpump install at my new to me house. Only 3 responded and MPS was the first to come out and they recommended get a system approved by the energy trust of Oregon to save money. No one else made that recommendation. It saved me $3,000 on the system. They came and quoted on Friday and were installing on Wednesday. Everyone else said 6 to 8 weeks. Clean install and very thorough with clean up. They also responded immediately when my daughter's gas furnace quit working and were out the same day and troubleshot the issue quickly. They were able to locate the part here in town and was available the next day as it was at the end of day Thursday before good Friday. As a person who was in the construction industry since they 80's I can say they are definitely old school when it comes to customer service. A shout out directly to Rosie and Mauro for taking care of my daughter as you did. Would give 10 stars if I could. Services: Heating system repair, Heating system installation, Install AC
