I made an emergency appointment to get a filling replaced. The person who made the appointment told me that the exam would be free and I would only need to pay for xray and filling (I made a point to tell this person I was not looking to be a long term client, I just needed an emergency filling replacement). When I arrived the manager told me that in fact I had to pay for exam, and then when I sat in the chair, the dentist could not even see where the filling had come from, and tried to tell me it was still there untill I pointed to it with my finger, then he was like, "oh yah I see it let's get you some pain meds untill you can make an appointment to get it filled." I responded that I had canceled work today because i made this appointment to get the filling replaced. (I would understand a different appointment if it was a root canal or something more in depth, but the person that I made the appointment with specified it was to get the filling replaced). After going back and forth with the manager and dentist, I was finally able to have the procedure done that day. I would have been ok with paying for the exam if i had not been told otherwise, and i would have understood making a separste appointment for the filling if it wasnt specified to be for the filling. After being lied to about the cost, and jerked around about the appointment, and frankly the dentist's bedside manner and the attitude of the manager, I will never go back.
