image They are racist and their contempt for blacks and Asians is shameful We were looking for daycare for my three-year-old son, so I had the opportunity to visit this facility as it is within walking distance of my house. On the day of my appointment, I arrived on time and what I saw was heartbreaking. Children of the above-mentioned race were discriminated against. I was forced to change my mind because this was my son's fate.

image Attended in 98-2000 and feel incredibly grateful for this experience. I still recall some of my most positive childhood memories here. Thank you for the teachers back then and now!

image My son learned so much in the time he attended NW Early learning. He picked up new skills every week. The teachers were so thoughtful and compassionate. They did a great job promoting socialization with other kiddos and helped encourage my son's interests. They even gave him a going away present and send off on our last day.

image I'm deeply disappointed with the quality of care provided by this daycare for my 3-year-old child. Initially, things seemed to be going well for the first few months, but then issues started to arise. The teachers began complaining that my child was not listening and was disruptive in class, which was completely out of character for him. He even started crying when we dropped him off at school, which was heartbreaking for us as parents.
While the staff are friendly, it's evident that there is a lack of proper training and understanding of child development at this daycare. Children should be allowed to explore and learn in a supportive and inclusive environment, not forced to conform to strict rules and standards. The teachers may need better training and support to effectively manage challenging behaviors and create a positive environment for all children.
Upon further investigation, we discovered that one of his favorite teachers had been fired for not following the rules. It became clear that my child's behavior change was a result of this disruption in his routine and the loss of a trusted caregiver. The new teachers seemed unable to connect with my child and were quick to label him as disobedient.
When we requested to view the classroom cameras to better understand what was happening, the director refused. This lack of transparency and accountability only added to our concerns. It's evident that there is a lack of proper training and understanding of child development at this daycare. Children should be allowed to explore and learn in a supportive and inclusive environment, not forced to conform to strict rules and standards.
Furthermore, the insinuation of racism within the daycare is deeply troubling. Every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and respected regardless of their background. It's clear that this daycare is not meeting these fundamental principles.
I urge parents to be diligent in researching and selecting a daycare that prioritizes the well-being and individuality of each child. Our children deserve better than to be treated as mere commodities in a profit-driven system.

Hi Shallom,I am very sorry that we could not come to a quick resolution to support your child. We truly care for him and your family, and were actively brainstorming ways to support him. It sometimes takes multiple brainstorming sessions to figure out a way that will fully support a child, as every child is unique, and I am sad that we could not continue working to find a way to help him in the classroom. However, I understand the frustration you may have experienced in our quest to work with you in supporting your child. I want to make sure you know that losing him is not the solution that we wanted. In good faith, when you decided to pull him out of our program, we waived the 30-day withdrawal notice. I do still appreciate that you were both willing to work with us for that short while. We are sad to lose him and you both.We are unable to show the security cameras to parents as there are children who do not have permission for photos/videos to be taken, and we need to respect the choices of other parents. However, we did take you into the other room to observe him and his teachers through a small window in real time. Our goal is transparency within the boundaries parents legally request.Lastly, I am deeply concerned that you felt there were racist remarks or behaviors. We pride ourselves on the diversity of our staff and students, and I am very bothered that you felt marginalized. If you’re willing to have a phone conversation about your experience, I would very much appreciate it. I do not tolerate exclusivity.I wish you and your family the best.

image My daughter had been attending for over a year and for the most part has had a great time, learning and playing with friends. She spent the first year in the toddler room, and then last month was "graduated" up to the preschool room.
She spent 7.5 days in the preschool room and clearly was having some problems adjusting to the new routines (by day 3 she was crying basically every day at dropoff which was not normal for her), but every time I asked I was assured that she was generally happy during the day and that things were going fine. I took their word for it, and she always seemed happy when I picked her up at the end of the day so that made me feel good.
On day 8 I was called into the office and informed that her difficulty adjusting meant she shouldn't be there and that I should find another school for her. This was literally the day after I was told she was having a "great day" (their words). You'd think that, before asking a family to pull their kid you would at least have one discussion where you discuss any issues and brainstorm solutions together but that never happened. I was never given the opportunity to partner with them to allow my daughter to stay at her school. But my daughter clearly had started hated being there for some reason, so I suppose its for the best.
I did call back a couple of days later to discuss some possible solutions for my daughter to be able to stay and succeed at adjusting to the class expectations, but basically every idea was shot down with no suggestions offered so I figured it was a lost cause. I really did my best to work with them.
Two silver linings, however: I had wanted to pull my daughter much earlier because the school is pretty far from my house but I never did because she liked it so much (I didn't want to ruin a good thing), but now I no longer have that problem since my daughter doesn't go there anymore. Secondly, they are going to void my most recent tuition check so I'm not charged so that's nice. I'll give them a star for that.
EDIT (5/28): So my daughter hasn't been going to this school for almost a month now. The other day I was just driving down Walker by the street that would turn off to the school and when my daughter realized where we were she started crying uncontrollably, and the crying stopped as soon as she realized we were passing by the street where the school is rather than going to it. I don't know what on earth happened in the 3 weeks that my daughter was in the preschool classroom (other than people generally acting rude and unkind) but oh my gosh she is apparently still having huge negative reactions to the place. I don't know what's going on there, but I'm going to take that one courtesy star back since I'm just getting a bad feeling from the place.
