The owner and housekeepers are soooo nice and very helpful, it's a cute little location not far from the town, there's a lot across from the rooms that filled up with deer at night, that was cool to see. Overall would definitely go again

The Shooting Star is certainly a "one of a kind" motel. I say this in a good way. The owner and staff were very courteous and helpful. They even opened the door and turned on the TV for us upon our arrival. The room was large and clean even though a little dated. The beds were very comfortable and we slept the night through. It was interesting to see all the seagulls and cats around the property. All of this and it was still walkable to town. The value for the cost was reasonable. We would stay at this motel again. Thanks! Rooms: A little dated, but still very clean and comfortable. Walkability: An easy walk to town if you don't mind getting a little exercise.

The fellow running it was friendly and gave us a good price on the rooms. And sent us the best eating place in town. Excellent food , staff and friendly. I totally loved the food I ordered. Rooms: The rooms were great. plenty clean and comfortable. Also very quiet. Had a really good stay there .
