DeLaunay House

We stayed in the Harmony Suite and cannot recommend enough! Perfect location as its walking distance from the main street and immensely clean/spacious. Debbie was also so helpful and accommodating. We fully plan to book at the DeLaunay anytime we come to Ashland

Ive lived in Ashland, Oregon for 14 years and have been a renter for the entire time. Out of the many places Ive rented, I can honestly say that Deborah, owner of the DeLaunay House, has been my favorite landlord. She not only cares about her properties, but she actually cares about people, especially her tenants. Before the pandemic, she ran the bed and breakfast which then was turned into apartments. She continues to bring the same spirit of hospitality to her renters today. In todays world filled with impersonal property management companies and greedy landlords, it is truly refreshing to rent from someone who is not only part of the community, but who cares about community. 5 / 5 stars

A very wonderful place. The owner is meticulous in details throughout the property. The walk to the Shakespeare festival, and downtown Ashland is very short. The ambience is exceptional.

The Delaunay House is one hot eclectic mess, to put it bluntly. We traveled across country to live in a TINY apartment inside of Deb's house (that she was asking $1200/mo without utilities and wifi included). It certainly wasn't what we thought. This century old delight wreaked of cat litter and the neighbor next door plays saxophone all night (nice guy but walls are paper thin and you can hear everything). Even the bar owner next door warned us of Deb! The foyer contained a taxidermy peacock for your viewing pleasure (disturbing). The place hadn't been dusted in AT LEAST a decade. The comforter and sheets were concerning and potentially not safe to sleep on. And lastly, she stole $500 from my friend. Don't hand your money over to Deb until you check this place out because any money sent will not be returned (she requires cash or money gram which should send a red flag!) She's not trust worthy at all!

The owner, Deborah DeLauney ripped me off for over $5,400. I cancelled a reservation during the pandemic due to concerns over my 85 yo mothers health. I gave her more than 3 months notice and she refused to refund my money due to a no refund policy. Which did not deter her from cashing a check for 700 plus after my notice of cancellation. I tried to do the right thing and offered her to keep the money on account for the following year. Which she refused because there isnt going to be a next year. The business is bankrupt there is no money. Beware of giving this individual any money because she refuses to guarantee that the reservation will be honored. She tried to pawn me off with my other guests have chosen to reschedule to a later date. But the later date I chose was conveniently unavailable because THE BUSINESS IS BANKRUPT!! Do not rent from this individual, she is unscrupulous and will take your money with no intention of honoring any commitment. The only way I got my 250 cleaning fee refunded was by filing a complaint with the State of Oregon consumer affairs.
