I am the manager of this retail store and as I expressed to another, being a person of color, I have been judged by the color of my skin and not by the integrity of my character. I've had those who judged me get to know me personally and change their perspective. I also mentioned that as an Army Veteran and West Point graduate, I have also had many opinions about a space I have never been to and then, like you, to see its beauty and change my perspective as I've traveled the world moving every 2-3 years from age 2 until I was almost 40. I discuss this in my book with Brian Tracy as my military leadership career led me to a wonderful people leadership career where I have had to respond to so much and have been able to write about this perspective. What I've found, in my experience, is that we all must make our own opinions by direct experience and not what others say. I am sure we have all learned this in our biggest examples of this during high school. LOL. Until you meet a person, the owners, or have your own personal experience, I would offer to hold off on any judgement.As for your specific comments, allow me to clarify some misconceptions that may have led to the label of "cult."We are a retail store. I don't believe I've ever heard of a retail store labeled as such. We appreciate feedback and understand that our unique offerings may sometimes be misunderstood. I personally spoke with you and had such a wonderful conversation with you and felt that we had such a great connection. I too, know how it feels to hear certain things from those who have never been to a certain place (like our store) and then to visit that place and have my own opposite experience. Being a person of color, I have been judged by the color of my skin and not by the integrity of my character. I've had those who judged me get to know me personally and change their perspective. Additionally, as an Army Veteran and West Point graduate, I have also had many opinions about a space I have never been to. As I've traveled the world moving every 2-3 years from age 2 until I was almost 40, like you, I see that place's true beauty and change my perspective.
