We had an inspection done by this company. It was an absolute disaster. Full transparency, it is never fun getting bad news on your home so we went into this with that mindset and inspection companies are often the bearers of this. However, we went through quite the hassle with this company. They came to inspect our home (request from the buyers) as we were selling this year. We had been in the home for a year and a half and had minor suggestions from the previous inspectors (AEI). FEI came in and tore our place a part and recommended an upwards of 20k worth of needed repairs. We were obviously rattled and upset that a year and a half ago, we had a good bill of health. FEI reported that our house needed multiple piers, foam injection, a retaining wall rebuild, and a massive repair on the veneer. Our house was built in the 70s so it has its quirks and maintenance needs so we thought we had made a terrible investment as we had put a lot of money into updating much needed areas of the house. The buyers were clearly spooked and wanted all of this work done before purchase. We had to spend another $1,000 to get the original inspectors out and purchase a neutral 3rd party to come and inspect. The original inspector only recommended 5k of repairs and this was only for cosmetic purposes. He stated that the house was structurally sound and that our veneer cracks were natural from the house ebbing and flowing. The third engineer came out and actually brought GPS equipment to measure the house (FEI brought a mag light and a clipboard). The third engineer gave the house a good bill of health and showed mathematically why the house had not settled at all. Both inspection companies refuted the need for piers. We were able to sell the house but this was a frustrating long experience. As we went through this process, we noticed that there is no accountability for companies like this. They can come in and destroy years worth of equity and work based on their own opinions. Read the other reviews. FEI is notorious for this. When FEI was confronted with this information, Jahan leaned into his schooling and stated "well I went to MIT so....". The other part of this was the team FEI brought in to do the other inspections. They came in and did not reset the GCFIs in the house and left half the house without electricity and stated it was not working properly (we reset ourselves and all is well). We had push stop sink stoppers and they were unable to figure out that you push them down to have them return to the original state (they failed our sinks). These easy things were frustrating in that everything felt everything was done at half measure. This was a terrible experience and I would not recommend them to anyone. Be advised.

Absolute Worst! I hired then a couple years ago when buying a property. They came up with a laundry list of things that didn't seem real. Had a very reputable structural company come out to give us a quote. They could not find anything out of normal specs and said any moving that was recommended would do more damage than good. Needless to say, I got second opinion. Recently we were selling a house and the seller hired them because they were the only ones not booked out. Same song and dance. Spoke with a realtor in the area about them after and he said he will not even let FEI in the door of any house he is in a contract on. Hire anyone else.

Our house was inspected by this company. We have bought and sold many homes over the years and have never experienced the level of unprofessionalism that we saw today. The inspectors tracked mud and dirt all throughout our house, they left water running in our 3 of our bathrooms, and they left cabinets open throughout the house. We have new carpet that will now need to be professionally cleaned. Like many of the other reviews for this company, we were given an extensive list of crazy repairs. Our house is 60+ years old and has a few quirks that older houses have. We had it inspected by another structural engineer 18 mos ago and was given a clean report. He failed our electrical inspection because he couldn't figure out that several of our outlets are connected to light switches. There is definitely something wrong with this companythey are either unethical or ignorant. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
