When I moved to Tulsa I had to find a new pain management doctor and I tried around and then I met Dr Claflin and his amazing team that works with him and I knew I had found my match. This doctor is not only amazingly knowledgeable but he's also extremely understanding and compassionate he is not only my doctor but I consider him a great friend and all of his team as well I feel like they are part of my family they go above and beyond anything I have ever needed or asked for they were there and they helped me with they have been supportive in my pain journey they have been supported in in my everyday life they have been there since they can thin and I would recommend them above anybody I have ever seen and I would never ever change doctors no matter what Even if I had to pay out of pocket and my insurance didn't pay I would still go to this doctor because they are absolutely 100% the best.

** READ THIS IF YOUR PARENT IS ELDERLY ** My mother in law recently started going to this doctor for neuropathy. She is 70 years old and made a decision to switch pain doctors and starting seeing Dr. Claflin to manage her pain. At first everything seemed to go well. After she switched, my mother in law went to see Dr. Claflin for an appointment. It was discovered that her previous Dr. was prescribing her Oxy for the last 7 years. Her last prescription was Nov 19th and She ran out on Dec 19th. When she ran out of Oxy, the doctor called in a 7 day prescription. After the 7 days, the doctor went on vacation and had someone in the office tell my mother in law they would not be prescribing any opiates. My mother in law was on speaker phone so i could listen to the conversation. I could tell she was getting frustrated so i joined the conversation. I asked the lady in the office what a 70 year old woman was supposed to do... that making an old lady, who was long time opiate user, go cold turkey wasn't a wise decision. Her only suggestion was to take her to laureate. We tried calling her old doctor, but couldn't get an appointment for over 8 days. At this point, my mother in law was limited on her options. Detoxing was the only option. The next day, we brought her to laureate. We spent about 4 hours talking to Laureate. Laureate agreed to admit her after we told her what the doctor did. She is detoxed now, but while at laureate she got pneumonia. After detoxing for a week, she has spent the last week in the hospital getting treated for her pneumonia. After a week, she still can't go home because her oxygen keeps dropping. She will have to spend 2 weeks at a therapy place while her lungs improve. While I'm completely for getting a person off opiates, I think taking an elderly person off opiates without a plan to wean them off is completely irresponsible. We have spoken to a few different doctors at laureate and st. francis who all agree what this doctor did was wrong. I'm writing this review, because I don't want to see another elderly person go through what my mother in law did.

I started seeing Dr Claflin after Dr Halsell left and have had nothing but positive experiences with both doctors and the staff. I feel he is truly concerned about my concerns and health. I highly recommend this clinic.
