        I am highly grateful that my dad decided to donate blood for the first time in years. That is exceptionally the case as there is a particularly high demand for blood during Christmas and New Years. The staff of Emily the receptionist, Ashley the screener, and Gabby the phlobotamist made this occasion all the better with their prompt, and friendly service.

        My husband and I donated blood today in a mobile unit at our job site. After we donated approximately 4 hours later my husband took off his bandage and there was a knot at the site where the blood was taken. His arm then started bleeding out of the entry point down his arm, and it would not clot. We had to go to Urgent Care to get it treated and ensure he would be okay. Now something that was supposed to be a good deed has cost us $30 in a copay and a charge to our insurance because the phlebotomist couldn't do her job appropriately. Needless to say we will NOT be donating blood through this organization again!
