My experience with this doctor was less than pleasant. He comes across as wanting to answer all your questions sincerely. This may be great for someone with a normal history of pregnancy but not anyone who is high risk. I had an appointment with Dr. Whitham on 11/1/2023. This was my 2nd visit to the clinic but my 1st with Dr. Whitham. I explained to the doctor on this day my extensive high risk history with pregnancies. I had also mentioned my history during my 1st appointment with the nurse and almost all of it was excluded when I checked my account on the my chart portal. My history includes Pre-eclampsia, hyperemesis, excessive post nasal drip, excessive saliva, tachycardia, multiple miscarriages and early labor (28 weeks preeclampsia and 35 weeks reason unknown). When it came to all topics my concerns were dismissed and brushed off. I was especially upset with the reply I was provided regarding my excessive nausea and vomiting as well as my highlighting how out of breathe Id been. Being out of breath is normal yes but none of these should hinder your working and/or impede severely your day to day life. I have had hyperemesis in all my pregnancies so much so that I know the signs. I have spent days at the hospital due to my hyperemesis being provided with IV fluids and zofran amongst other treatments. Other meds were tried previous too but nothing ever worked. This doctor told me that every woman has nausea and that if I were given FMLA that itd be provided to every woman with nausea. Now Ive received care in multiple states due to my history being in military life. I have never in my 11 years of pregnancy been told this and if anything the doctors were so concerned with my medical history that theyve prompted me to take off work so that I can rest and the eight regimen would be put in place for my care. I also explained to this doctor that although Ive been taking zofran I feel uncomfortable using it due to the history of its association with birth defects. At that time my nausea had been so severe that Id been taking 8mg 4-6x per day. It did provide alleviation at that time. Now it is 1 week later and it isnt helping at all. Of course I dont have any trust in this doctors care. My excessive saliving Ptyalism is back and much worst. To add to insult I was drug tested without ever being informed and I never provided consent which it is illegal. I was also told that hed check certain lab levels such as my sodium and potassium, not once have I heard from the medical team. If the cause was not found like I explained its never been found Ive just had tough pregnancies. Historically black woman do not receive good care especially during pregnancy. All of this has added to my stress and depression. I am afraid to even seek another doctor in Tulsa after being treating this way.

Love, love, love him! I had him as both OB and GYN. He always answered any questions, never pressured for any decisions, and was openly communicative through all processes. He delivered my son via c-section and everything went beautifully on his end. I recommend for anyone!
