As a newcomer to the Shawnee area, I've truly enjoyed getting to know the staff of Shawnee Forward. They create such an amazing networking community and bring so many local leaders and businesses together. They do so much for the city and I appreciate all that they're doing to develop Shawnee.

Having interacted with Shawnee Forward in several professional and personal capacities following the merger of the predecessor groups, the teams within the organization have demonstrated an apparent desire to pursue the mission implicit in this organization's name. The work put in behind the scenes extends far beyond what presents to the public, and the dedication required to accomplish these unseen tasks speaks to this belief. Past and present staff members have helped connect, facilitate, and innovate ideas among the local business community and civic leadership. Though not always perfect in execution just as any human endeavor, they have shown a propensity to acknowledge the reality of challenges facing the community with a leaning toward the optimism one would hope to see in those helping guide local economies.
